Episode #50 Milestones and Memoirs

March 24, 2019 @ 4:29 pm

For our 50th episode, we answer listener questions.  Things like being territorial with your hunting spots, effective use of spotting scopes, the political scene here in Alberta and how it affects hunters.

We read some emails from listeners, one of tragedy and one of success.  Mike and John talk about what they have learned and what they enjoyed most about podcasting to hunters.  They do a whole bunch of shout outs to everyone who has helped out and been a guest.

John cautions Highland Challengers - don't underestimate the effort.  Put the work in.

Episode 49 Curls, Chukars and Cartridges

March 10, 2019 @ 5:20 pm

If any seasoned or new hunters are considering hunting the mountains this year, this episode is a must listen.

Our guest and friend Alex shares with us his decades of mountain hunting experience, not only in North America, but all over the world.  We wanted to concentrate on sheep hunting topics, but quickly realized that many of the topics we covered apply to all mountain hunting, even Chukars! We got in-depth about gear, and what has proven to last in the tough mountain environments.  We talked tactics on finding sheep, and many other mountain big game.

Alex is a wealth of knowledge, and we were very happy he agreed to join us.  We picked up a lot of good advice and insight from him, and we know you will too!

We hope you enjoy this episode!
